Perfection is a myth. The Prime Shot is real.
Hey, I’m Mike and I take photos.
Sometimes they’re really good, and I surprise myself, which feels like a win.
I’ve been lucky enough to get some recognition for my work, which is great. Now, I’ve built a website where clients can easily browse my images, find inspiration, and connect with my work.
I’m not here to pretend I’ve been “capturing magical moments” since childhood. I just like being outside, chasing good light, and waiting for that split second when the scene and the camera finally agree. That’s the whole game. Most of the time, you miss, or the light sucks, or the shot looks better in your head. That’s part of it, but you just keep going anyway.
“The Prime Shot” is the chase; that one frame where the light hits right, the timing lands, and you don’t screw it up. It doesn’t happen often. It’s rare. It’s unpredictable. And it’s the reason you keep showing up. Most of photography isn’t the shot… It’s the chasing of the shot.
If you’re here because you’re thinking about working together, here’s what you should know: my focus is on making sure you get images that truly serve your needs. I take the work seriously, even if I don’t take myself too seriously. I’ll show up, put in the effort, and make sure you walk away with something you’re genuinely excited about.
